My little Sweet Pea has a terrible case of baby acne. It’s so sad to see her pretty little face covered in big red blotches! The Doctor says it should go away within a month. Its supposedly due to changes in hormones, the ones she’s no longer getting from me and the ones in the breastmilk. There isn’t anything to treat it since it’s cause isn’t external. I hope it clears up soon so I can take her for pictures!

Rob’s back at work now so I am doing the stay at home mommy thing and it’s not easy! I try to sleep when she sleeps and take a shower then too, but it doesn’t always seem to work out that way. There is always something else to do, like EAT, check the voicemail, and call people back (since I can rarely manage to answer the phone), or clean up around the house (one little baby can make a LOT of laundry!) Usually, as soon as I get halfway into whatever I’m doing, The Princess wakes up crying, so the whole cycle of feeding, changing, and rocking her begins again. Luckily Rob is great about cleaning up around the house. I just miss having time to myself to do stuff like call my friends and paint my nails…

Today my Princess is 3 weeks old and she took a pacifier for the first time today! We had been trying to get her to use it off and on since she was born but she didn’t seem to like it at all. She would, however, suck on your finger if you put it in her mouth. That isn’t very practical though since after a while the tip of your finger would feel like it was ready to burst! I offered it to her again today after she sucked on my finger for about 10 minutes and she took it and has been using it ever since! Problem is as soon as it falls out of her mouth (always the same time I fall asleep) she wakes up and cries! Don’t know if this device is a blessing or a curse?!?!?

Daddy gave Audrey a bottle for the first time this morning. We were very nervous about how it would go, but she barely seemed to notice anything was different! She drank 2 oz from the bottle emptying it quickly and then I nursed her for another 5 minutes because she was still hungry! She’s such good little eater! Looks like Daddy will be able to take a feeding for me each day and I might actually be able to leave the house for more then 30 minutes!
